Week 4: How to Introduce New Ways of Working

After watching the video, please review the following questions:

  1. When introducing new ideas or changes within a team, we often encounter resistance or challenges called "Frictions," such as inertia, effort, emotion, and reactance. How can we acknowledge and address each of these frictions to create a smoother transition? Can you think of specific examples from past experiences where these frictions played a role and how we might handle them differently in the future?

  2. How could a series of small changes be more beneficial than one significant change? How do you avoid stalling in the "pilot" stage?

  3. If you implement the "road mapping" process mentioned in the video, what key steps can you and your team take to ensure the new process is implemented on time and communicated effectively?
