The Mind in the Workplace Series, focuses on the importance of mental health in the workplace. Mental health can be a topic that many shy away from in the workplace. Breaking the silence on this topic strengthens our ability to be inclusive and aware of challenges that others may be struggling with. Join us in this important series to learn more about mental health challenges and ways to support employees who experience mental health challenges so that everyone in the workplace can thrive.

Week 2: The Mind in the Workplace - ADHD in the Workplace

Please Note: The Mind in the Workplace series aims to educate and spread awareness about mental health disorders and their impact on the workplace. However, members of the HR team are NOT mental health professionals. Discussion Questions:

1. Why is it helpful to have an understanding of ADHD in the workplace, even if you do not have a personal experience with ADHD? How can it help your team and coworkers?

 2. Whether or not you or a team member struggle with ADHD, how can these tips be beneficial to your team?

(a) keeping a workspace organized

(b) keeping a detailed calendar and making lists

(c) frequent communication with supervisor or team members

(d) limiting workplace distractions


 3. Why is there hesitation to make adjustments for employees who struggle with ADHD or are living with other mental health challenges?
