Week 7: Narratives can be dangerous (November 27 - December 2)
Discussion Questions:
(1) How do you recognize when a narrative is in place? How did this narrative negatively impact your view of person or company?
(2) How can you replace judgement with curiosity to overcome the negative impact of a narrative? How do empathy and perspective facilitate this process?
(3) In a previous series, we discussed the fundamental attribution error and self-serving bias. These are when a person attributes negative actions to another person's character, not circumstances and their own negative actions to circumstances and not character. How do narratives feed into these two concepts?
